Karachi (PPI) - City District Government Karachi has finalised the strategy with the help of flour mills owners and Sindh food department to ensure sale of wheat flour at the rate of Rs.10 per kg in the city during the Holy month of Ramazan. A meeting, presided over by DCO Karachi Javed Hanif, reviewed the arrangements on Friday. The millers assured that they would extend full cooperation to the administration and ensure provision of quality flour. The meeting decided to set up 284 stalls in different parts of Karachi and the mills would supply flour bags of 10kg each to be sold at the rate of Rs.10 per kg. DCO directed the concerned officials to finalise arrangements within next 24 hours. The sale of flour would start from first Ramazan. In another meeting, presided over by the DCO, it was decided to launch result-oriented drive against price-hike. The officials including special magistrates decided that no leniency would be given to the profiteers. Meanwhile, a list of 142 points identified for the sale of wheat flour was released giving town-wise details. It contains 8 points in Bin Qasim Town, 6 in Landhi Town, 7 in Korangi Town, 7 in Shah Faisal Town, 5 in Malir Town, 10 in Gulshan Town, 14 in Jamshed Town, 7 in Keamari Town, 7 in Saddar Town, 7 in North Nazimabad, 10 in Liaquatabad, 6 in Gulberg, 8 in New Karachi, 6 in Lyari, 5 in Baldia, 9 in SITE Town, 7 in Orangi Town and 11 in Gadap Town.
