KARACHI - The KESC will make all efforts to ensure uninterrupted supply of power to the consumers during Ramazan, while the consumers also need to use power wisely during the holy month for the benefit of all citizens. This was stated by Ayesha Eirabie, Director Corporate Communications, at a media briefing. She said that the consumers would be expected to support KESC in process of meeting consumer needs and expectations, especially at the times of Iftar, Sehar and Taraveeh. She also asked the general public to contribute towards the Speak-Up campaign of the KESC during this month of blessings in the name of sanity and goodness and inform the utility of any incidence of electricity theft or corruption if they find a clue. So, that the utility could continue to improve its services. Giving out the operational update, Ayesha said the KESC had been supplying 2032 MWs of electricity at 2 PM Friday against a total demand of 2089 MWs, while Wapda had been providing 590 MWs. The shortfall of 66 MWs was due to planned maintenance and outages.
