BAHAWALPUR - Bahawalpur commissioner has expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of Tehsil Municipal Administration, and advised that every personnel should discharge their duties with honesty to provide the basic facilities to the public.

“The government provided Rs700 million in the last fiscal year. Tiba Badar Sher Water Supply Scheme of Tiba Badar Sher has been completed with the cooperation of the Asian Development Bank and it shall be made functional within a week. Bahawalpur Solid Waste Management Company has stopped using carts to dump garbage and is now using latest waste dumping vehicles for this purpose,” Capten (r) Javed Akber said while talking to The Nation exclusively.

The commissioner said that he had directed the Solid Waste Management director to ensure better waste management system and in this matter awareness campaign should be run in schools and colleges.

He said during the meeting that potable water should be provided in the city and in this matter he had ordered to constitute a technical committee.

 which will monitor all the water supply and sewerage schemes and submit a report to him.
