IDPs render matchless sacrifices for country’s cause: Khattak

PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that Internally Displaced People (IDPs) of North Waziristan Agency have rendered matchless sacrifices for the cause of the nation and country.
He also rejoiced over the bulk participation of the people of FATA, including the IDPs in Azadi March, saying it was ample proof of the fact that side by side with the people of the rest of the country, the valiant inhabitants of FATA and IDPs also wanted a pure democratic system in the country free from corruption, nepotism and usurpation of basic rights of the people.
He said that people from all parts of the country are out and participating in the Azadi March with enthusiasm for the last one week since independence day despite undergoing scorching summer heat, hunger, thirst and sleeplessness.
Pervez Khattak said that he has given a clear cut directive of the high-ups of the provincial government and heads of institutions to take care of the IDPs like other citizens of the province and even prefer them in mitigating their grievances. He said IDPs are our distinguish guest and their proper hospitality was essential part of our faith.
He was talking to various delegations of the PTI workers from FATA and Peshawar who called on him in Islamabad. Besides reiterating their pledge supporting and standing by Imran Khan in the Azadi March till achievement of the goal, the party activists also apprised him on certain problems faced by the IDPs in FR, Bannu, Lakki Marwat as well as civic problems of Peshawar. PTI Provincial President Azam Khan Swati, General Secretary Khalid Masood and some other central and provincial leaders were also present on this occasion.
Chief Minister while assuring resolution of the problems of the IDPs on priority basis and issuing on the spot instructions to the authorities concerned, assured that no stone will be left unturned in their proper looking after and hospitality of the IDPs till their safe and honourable repatriation to their related tribal agencies. He also asked the PTI workers to focus full attention on welfare of IDPs in all the affected areas of FATA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
