LAHORE – The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has set yet another example by holding former captains seminar here at the PFF secretariat. The seminar was presided over by PFF chief Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat while the participants were Ali Nawaz, Zulfiqar Mangu, Akbar Raisani, M Naveed, Mohammad Tariq, Haroon Yousuf, M Hayat Kasi, Mukhtar Ali, Essa Khan, Jaffar Khan and Samar Ishaq. PFF secretary Lt Col (r) Ahmad Yar Khan Lodhi, Wg Cdr (r) Pervaiz Saeed Mir, Lt Col (r) Farasat Ali Shah, Maj (r) Jahangir Khan Lodhi, Rauf Bari, Amin Tahir and Shahid Khokhar also attended the seminar. The participants shared significant suggestions for the development of football in Pakistan. The main focus of the seminar remained the development of football at youth level, Pakistan Premier Football League, women football, coaching and refereeing. The PFF chief thanked the participants and said the federation highly admired and acknowledged the services of the ex-captains of Pakistan football team that was why it was decided to take benefit from their experience. The participants also thanked the PFF and its president for giving them honour and importance and said that this was for the first time that they had been given a chance to play their role in the development of football in Pakistan which they highly appreciated. They also appreciated the efforts of PFF and its sincere leadership and said potential developments could be seen clearly in all aspects of football in Pakistan during the last decade since when the current president took over. Faisal said: “We will keep in close touch with the experienced former captains of our national team.”–Staff Reporter
