PESHAWAR - At least 11 persons were killed and around 20 others got injured as a result of fresh military action started against the militants in the scattered areas of Mamoond, Bajaur Agency, on Sunday. According to details, the security forces on early Sunday morning resumed shelling against the suspected hideouts of militants in Mamoond. The officials claimed that four militants were killed and two were injured during the shelling, besides demolishing dins of the militants. During the military action, a mortar shell landed over a running passenger vehicle near village Omari. As a result six persons including two women were killed and nine others got injured. Similarly, a woman was killed and eight others were injured when a mortar shell landed over a house in Mamoon. The local tribesmen informed that due to renewed military action, a large number of people were migrating towards safer places. Even people including women and children are walking towards safe destinations due to lack of transportation facilities. Meanwhile, the bodies of two Afghan brothers, abducted by militants on Saturday on the charges of spying, were found on Sunday from Mir Ali area of North Waziristan. According to details, the mutilated dead bodies of the two brothers, Nek Mohammad and Zar Mohammad, had been dumped after assassination along Thall Road in the outskirts of Mir Ali. The local tribesmen sighted the dead bodies early Sunday morning and informed the police, which later took the dead bodies in their custody. Both the brothers had been mysteriously abducted from their home in Mir Ali, where they had been living since long with their other family members. A hand-written paper has also been found from the site in which militants accused them of spying for 'the enemy forces'. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies arrested around eight Afghan nationals from different places.
