Greedy minister hogs 2 official accommodations

ISLAMABAD - In a real case of highhandedness, the ruling Pakistan Peoples Partys federal minister usurped the right of his own partys female Member National Assembly. According to details, Federal Minister for Youth Affairs Shahid Hussain Bhutto has refused to vacate the flat in Parliament Lodges, which was officially allotted to Palwasha Khan MNA PPP. Flat No G-102 situated in Parliament Lodges was allotted to Palwasha Khan, which was actually in possession of Shahid Bhutto three months before, and a notification in this regard was issued some three months ago. However, Shahid Bhutto, taking advantage of his position, usurped the right of even his party MNA and refused to vacate the flat. It is pertinent to note that the said flat was first allotted to Shahid Bhutto but, after taking office of federal minister, he was allotted a house(No. 15) in Ministers Enclave; but he also continued to keep the flat - which was then allotted to Palwasha Khan. Palwasha Khan, while talking to TheNation, confirmed the news and said that the concerned authority had issued the notification of allotment of flat some three months ago. However, Shahid Bhutto was continuously denying me my right, she said and added that one of his personal assistants was residing in that flat. She said that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has clearly directed his cabinet to leave the practice of retaining two accommodations at a time and if somebody wont follow these instructions he/she should quit office. If PMs own cabinet does not follow the instruction of their premier then how will the PM ensure good governance, Palwasha questioned. She said that under prevailing law and order situation if some untoward incident occurred in that flat then Shahid Bhutto would be responsible for that. She said that to solve the issue she would write a letter to PM in upcoming days and would raise the issue on floor of Assembly. This scribe tried to contact federal minister Shahid Bhutto but he did not receive the call. It was also learnt that many federal ministers of the ruling party are retaining two accommodations at a time.
