Israel wins $350m tender to produce APCs for Afghan troops

ISLAMABAD The United States is trying to bring Israel overtly into the region, through Afghanistan. The latest attempt has been through the supply of arms to the military in Afghanistan. The Israeli Palsan company won a tender to supply $350 million worth of armoured personnel carriers to soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, Israel Radio reported. Another Israeli company, Panas, is a subcontractor of Palsan and produces ballistic protection sheets manufactured using a specialised technology. Interestingly, Afghanistan does not recognise Israel and there are no diplomatic relations between the two countries.
