3 injured in attack on Nato trawlers

QUETTA - Three people were wounded when unidentified people attacked trawlers carrying supplies for NATO forces deployed in Afghanistan, in Khuzdar district, some 350km southeast of Quetta, on Tuesday. According to sources, trawlers were travelling to Kandahar from Karachi and they were passing from Wadh area of Khuzdar when attackers opened indiscriminate firing on them. Consequently, a driver identified as Muhammad Nazim received injuries in firing. Another trawler trying to escape from firing turned turtle on the highway. As a result, two occupants identified as Mirza Khan and Omar sustained serious injuries. The attackers escaped from the site after committing the crime. Local law enforcement agencies reached the site after being informed and cordoned off the area. The injured were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.
