Iraq has finally named a cabinet to lead it into a much anticipated post-war development phase after a debilitating nine-month power struggle. However, key security portfolios were not among those announced by the prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, this afternoon after he was sworn in for a second term as leader. Maliki said he will run the defence, interior and national security ministries himself while feuding blocs decide on suitable candidates over the next four days.
