KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders on Tuesday called on Pakistan Muslim League (PML-F) Chief Pir Pagara at his residence, Kingri House, here on Tuesday. Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Babar Khan Ghauri led the delegation that included MQM Rabita Committee members Provincial Minister Adil Siddiqui, Wasey Jalil and MQM parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly Sardar Ahmed. Provincial Minister Imtiaz Shaikh was present from the PML-F side.The MQM delegation discussed with Pir Pagaro the fast changing political situation in the country and other issues of mutual interests such as rapid increase in prices of essential items, unemployment and bad law and order situation in the province. Addressing the media after the meeting, Ghauri said that they have visited the Kingri House not to hatch a conspiracy against anyone saying, We would not allow any person or party to divide the people of Sindh. He informed that the purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the relations between allied parties in order to find a solution to the problems being faced by the poor people. He said that Sindh was a land of peace and tranquillity but a conspiracy was being hatched to create a bad blood among the people. He asserted that MQM and PML-F would work to create an environment of love and peace in the province and defeat the conspiracy to create hatred in the people. He said that Pir Pagara has accepted the invitation to visit MQM headquarters Nine-Zero. He further said that the law and order situation in Sindh was worsening with each passing day and incidents of kidnapping for ransom and gang rapes were on the rise that had created public worries. Babar Ghauri said that single-handed decisions and lawmaking without taking other coalition partners into confidence would create more problems. He said that MQM and PML-F have decided to develop consensus on national issues due to the present political situation of the country. On the occasion, PML-F leader Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh said that MQM is the close aide of PML-F saying that both the parties leadership have discussed the local bodies system and the commissionerate system in Sindh.
