Nigerian High Commissioner in Pakistan Dauda Danladi said on Saturday that his country would help Pakistan cope with energy crisis as it had natural gas reserves of 184 trillion cubic feet.

Along with UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, the high commissioner inaugurated the flower exhibition organised by Institute of Horticultural Sciences at the UAF. He also called for increasing trade volume between both the countries in order to derive benefits from each other’s experience.

He said, “We will import goods from Faisalabad, Sialkot and Lahore. Bilateral trade volume stands at 500 million dollar. Efforts are afoot to raise it to 1,000 million dollars. President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain along with a delegation would visit Nigeria to discuss the areas of mutual interest,” he said.

The HC also appreciated the efforts of the UAF students for arranging the flowers in a beautiful way. He also said that academia collaboration between the countries would be strengthened.
