LAHORE - PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Punjab president Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi have said that price hike, energy crisis and lawlessness are killing the people but the government is indifferent to the issues faced by the people.

PML-Q top leaders made these remarks while addressing Punjab parliamentary party’s meeting at their residence on Saturday.

PML-Q, which has shelved the idea to launch a protest rally against price hike, energy crisis and lawlessness fearing no on ground popular support, held the parliamentary meeting to dispel the impression of their ‘evaporating size’ among the populace.

They claimed that the government neither had any solid policy at hand to deal with the issues facing the country nor it was ready to get help from the opposition parties to steer the country out of the crises.

The meeting decided that PML-Q would raise people’s problems and issues inside and outside the assemblies and for this purpose, they would contact with other members of the opposition for launching joint efforts.

It sounds astonishing that parliamentary party members who are voted by their electorate to raise their issues in assemblies’ floors, have taken a decision which is their duty being an elected member of provincial or national parliament.

The meeting was attended by MPAs Aamir Sultan Cheema, Ahmad Shah Khagga, Dr Muhammad Afzal, Sardar Asif Nakai, Sardar Waqas Hassan Mokal, Bisma Chaudhry and Jayeda Khalid, besides provincial leaders Chaudhry Zaheeruddin Khan, Muhammad Basharat Raja and Nasir Mahmood Gill.
