RAWALPIND - Despite presence of experienced doctors in department of neurosurgery of District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital, only 32 beds are placed for patients in the ward.

Unfortunately, due to less number of beds, patients are facing problems and are denied admission to the hospital. In case the patient’s family insists for admission then they are assured on the condition if beds are available; otherwise they are given medicines and sent to home. Neurosurgeon department of DHQ is considered as one of the best departments in Rawalpindi. Critical cases are brought to this department from different hospitals but unfortunately they are turned away due to shortage of beds.
