LAHORE On another two petitions for seeking ISI handling of the Raymond Davis case as well as shifting of the double murder accused from Kot Lakhpat Jail to Lahore Fort Jail, the Lahore High Court Monday sought reply from the respondent Federal Government through the Deputy Attorney General. One of the petitioners also urges the court to take into possession diplomatic record pertaining to Davis so that it could not tampered with at any level. Barrister Javed Iqbal Jafree and Rana Ilamuddin advocate have moved the petitions which came up for hearing before Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry, who handed over copies of the same to the DAG, Naveed Inayat Malik to argue and file a reply to that on March 14 next. Ghazi seeks judicial directions for shifting the double murder accused Raymond Davis to Lahore Forte and ask Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) to hold inquiry into his case. He says the location of the present jail wherein the accused is lodged, is at a considerable distance from the main city which could help his escape. He alleges that the accused was in Pakistan on some special mission against the interest of Pakistan as such the ISI may be directed to handle his case in order to fathom the facts at the bottom of the matter after illegal weapons, and other sophisticated spy-wares were recovered from his possession.
