LAHORE After blasting President Asif Ali Zardari the other day allegedly for frustrating PML-N efforts aimed at reconciliation, PML-N Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has rejected all chances of mending fences with his political rivals Quaid-e-Azam League. 'There is no place for the dictators cronies in the N-League, and cannot even think of aligning ourselves with the Chaudhrys of Gujrat, said Nawaz Sharif, while addressing leaders and workers of his party here on Monday. Like the previous occasion, he did not mince words while asserting that coalition with the Chaudhry brothers was unthinkable. 'Alliance with the PML-Q is a curse, he added. However, he took a jibe at Pervez Musharraf also. 'He has run away because of his wrongdoings,Nawaz said. He was of the considered opinion that double-murder accused Raymond Davis would have been freed if Musharraf was in power. He termed the restoration of judiciary as victory of people and defeat of President Asif Ali Zardari. 'People will bring revolution in every institution, like that of restoration of judiciary. Such revolution in the institutions is vital for the integrity of Pakistan, he stated. He said that the Generals should guard the frontiers, and must cut themselves off from politics.Nawaz further said that whenever they occupied power corridors, they brought devastation to Pakistan and its people, while working against national interests. While demanding an apology from Interior Minister Sindh Zulfiqar Mirza over his comments regarding PML-N, Nawaz Sharif alleged the PPP government of following wrong policies. 'Inflation, unemployment and corruption has increased due to the policies. We cannot embrace incompetent government for long, he warned, adding, that continuing of reconciliation with the PPP would earn the PML-N, masses resentment and create problems for the N-League. He was of the view that Pakistan was left alone in the comity of nations and was facing huge problems. He reiterated his stance on the 10-point agenda, and maintained that it was aimed at resolving problems of the masses. 'A few of its points can be actualised within 24 hours, he added. When he asked the attendees about dialogue with the PPP government after February 24, the workers loudly said 'no. 'The PPP has violated the promises, and it cannot be trusted anymore, said the workers.
