LAHORE - The City Traffic Police have prepared a plan to ensure smooth flow of traffic on citys arteries during rush hours. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) SSP Syed Ahmed Mobin expressed these views while addressing a special meeting with DSPs and sector in-charges on Monday. He directed the DSPs to constitute special squads to inspect the traffic situation during rush hours to facilitate the public on important roads. He further said that DSPs and sector in-charges must visit roads to check the performance of traffic wardens. He directed to create awareness of traffic rules and road safety among the citizens, adding the Traffic Education Units must be reactivated in all traffic sectors throughout the provincial capital in different phases. Mobin said that every traffic officer should perform his duty in a proper manner and any negligence would not be tolerated at any cost. The CTO, however, urged the citizens and especially motorists to abide by the traffic laws for their own and others safety.
