KARACHI - India has named two-member team to appear here in the Six-nation International Snooker Championship but their participation is subject to issuance of visa in time.

Yasin Reza Merchant and M Faisal Khan have been picked to play for India in the championship which will be played here from March 4 to 9. Their tentative arrival date has been fixed as March 1.

In the meantime, the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) is waiting for the necessary clearance from the Ministry of Interior and other vetting agencies to be forwarded to the Indian team to obtain the necessary visa for Pakistan.

The president and the committee have requested the federal interior minister to kindly intervene and use his good offices to expedite the issuance of the necessary clearance, enabling the Indian players to obtain the visas in time.
