4,000 vehicles served notices for route renewal

RAWALPINDI - The Rawalpindi Transport Authority (RTA) has issued notices against 4000 commercial vehicles of different routes which have failed to renew their Route permits. It was learnt that more than 20,000 commercial vehicles ply on different routes of the city however there are 4000 vehicles which are still on routes but have not renewed their permits.
The Secretary Regional Transport Authority Rawalpindi has issued notices against these vehicles and has given special direction to all owners of vehicles that they should renew their route permits within seven days.
He warned that if they did not renew their route permits than he would send a recommendation to Motor Branch of Excise Department for postponement of their registration.
