Balochistan govt to be restored before March 14: Farooq Naek

Federal Law Minister Farooq H. Naek on Friday said the Balochistan government which was suspended after the blast on Alamdar Road in Quetta that killed more than 100 people would be restored before March 14.
On January 14, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf dismissed the provincial government and announced to impose governor’s rule in Balochistan.
Speaking to media here, Naek said that the restoration of the civilian government was mandatory for the formation of an interim setup in the province.
“The provincial assembly will elect new chief minister after the resignation of Aslam Raisani,” he said, adding that all steps would be taken in accordance with the constitution.
He further said that the parliament would not approve the extension of the governor’s rule.
