RAWALPINDI – A decision has been taken to transfer heads of all offices of district administration Rawalpindi ahead of installation of caretaker set up. List of different names for replacement of the sitting officers is being considered. All the incumbent officers of offices of district departments and officers will be transferred and posted out of the district. Police officers are also being transferred. The officers of district education office, tehsil office, revenue department and health department will be posted out to other districts.
This decision has been taken to ensure transparency in the upcoming general elections. In the perspective of these prospective transfer orders; the decisions in respect of important matters have been kept pending.
Meanwhile, on the directives of Chief Election Commissioner, the list containing names of around 13,814 individuals including teaching and non-teaching staff of the educational institutions of Rawalpindi District has been presented to the Election Commission.
District Officer Education, Zahoor Hussain Shah formally presented the list to the Chief Election Commissioner, Fakhar-ud-Din G Ibraheem.
These persons will be responsible for to facilitating the peaceful organisation of the upcoming elections.
The list also includes names of about 100 clerks, watchmen and peons who will be employed for the purpose. The vacations of all these personnel have also been cancelled.
