Tina Fey to do The Taliban Shuffle

California - Tina Fey is doing “The Taliban Shuffle” for Paramount Pictures, coming on board to star and produce a movie version of Kim Barker’s memoir.
Producers are Fey through her Little Stranger shingle and Paramount-based Lorne Michaels through his Broadway Video banner.
No director is attached. Barker’s memoir, titled “The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan,” recounts her years as a journalist in Afghanistan and Pakistan after arriving in the region in 2002. Robert Carlock of “30 Rock” wrote the adaptation. Fey will be seen next in Shawn Levy’s “This Is Where I Leave You” and Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted.” Fey is repped by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment and attorney Clifford Gilbert-Lurie. Carlock is repped by WME and attorney Ken Richman. The news was first reported by The Wrap.
