LAHORE - Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Rafique Tarar has said that the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Conference will prove to be a milestone in national history.
“Lovers of Pakistan will derive a new vigour and strength from it and work for the protection, projection and promotion of the ideology of Pakistan with all the more zeal and enthusiasm,” he said in his presidential address in the 7th and 8th concluding sitting on the last day of the 7th Three-day Annual Nazaria-i-Pakistan Conference on Saturday.
The group discussions showed the unprecedented zeal and zest of the delegations anxious to find out solutions to the problems facing the dear homeland, Tarar said.
NPT Vice Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmed, former chief justice Mian Mahboob Ahmed, Federal Minister for Railway Khawaja Saad Rafique, PML General Secretary and member of the NPT Board of Governors Mushahid Hussain Syed, former federal law minister SM Zafar, Col (r) Dr Jamshaid Ahmad Tareen, Hameed Nizami Press Institute Director Absar Abdul Ali, eminent intellectual Dr Ajmal Niazi, Begum Mehnaz Rafi, Begum Surayya KH Khursheed, Dr Parveen Khan, Begum Safia Ishaq, Engr Muhammad Tufail Malik, MK Anwar Baghdadi, office-bearers of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Forums, teachers, intellectuals, students and a huge number of people from different walks of life were present on the occasion.
Tarar observed that the participation of the delegations from all the four provinces of the country, Azad Kashmir as well as from abroad had transformed this glorious conference into a huge ideological gathering which would promote national solidarity and unity in homeland. He added that the task of transforming Pakistan into a truly modern Islamic, democratic and welfare state would be brought within reach.
He praised the activities of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan forums and societies which are instrumental in conveying the message of the ideology of Pakistan to the younger generations. He expressed a strong hope that the policy-making institutions would most certainly derive guidance from the resolutions of the participants of the conference.
Mian Mehboob Ahmad observed that Islam focused on the collective welfare of the polity. “We aim at promoting two-nation theory. Ignoring it could only bring catastrophe and devastation. The Muslim nation is absolutely a different entity vis-à-vis all the other nations who could be bracketed together,” he further observed.
Federal Minister for Railways Saad Rafique observed that he took the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust as the paradise of the supporters and torch-bearers of the ideology of Pakistan. “It is an ideological cantonment, which protects and promotes the rationale of Pakistan,” he added.
Mushahid Hussain Syed condemned those elements who think it necessary for the politicians to have great wealth, and the support of America and the establishment. “The election of the senate has sarcastically been termed auction,” he stated. He also proposed to the government that the senate elections should be conducted by show of hand.
SM Zafar observed that Muslim leagues, at present, are hardly the representatives of the Quaid-i-Azam’s ideas. “It is the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust that is upholding his vision by keeping alive the Kashmir issue. Thanks to Dr. Majid Nizami’s all-out efforts, Pakistan is now a nuclear-armed state,” he said. The Quaid-i-Azam’s followers just could not be corrupt, he added.
He exhorted the judiciary, legislative and executive to function within their limits in order for the state to progress and its citizens to become prosperous. “A sense of responsibility on our part could take us a long way forward,” he observed.
Dr Ajmal Niazi said that Dr Nizami’s iron will and determination and his sticking to principles should inspire us and lead us to our destination.
The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Forum presidents from Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahim Yaar Khan, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Multan, Kharian and others also spoke on the occasion and threw light on the forums’ activities and their efforts for upbringing the two nation theory among the new generation.
Dr Rafique Ahmad presented souvenir shields of the conference to the participants. At the end, Maulana Muhammad Shafi Josh led a session of prayers.
