PMA condemns mistreating KEMU faculty

LAHORE - Condemning mistreatment of senior faculty members at Mayo Hospital, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has demanded the King Edward Medical University VC and Medical Superintendent to hold impartial probe and award exemplary punishment to culprits.
The participants of a meeting held at PMA House on Saturday with PMA Lahore Chapter president Dr Tanvir Anwar expressed concerns over threats and attacks on medical teachers, saying that the insecurity was hampering teaching process at KEMU and service delivery at Mayo Hospital.
Dr Ashraf Nizami, Dr Shahid Malik, Dr Izhar Ahmad Ch, Dr Kamran Saeed, Dr Asma Yasin, Dr Talha Sherwani and Dr Iram Shahzadi attended the meeting. The participants demanded Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take notice and ensure proper security at medical colleges and hospitals.
