SC verdict was not unexpected for me, says Nawaz

While commenting on Supreme Court verdict of barring him from hearing PML-N, Nawaz Sharif said that verdict was not unexpected from him.

He was talking to media outside Accountability Court after today's hearing.

Former premier further said that all verdicts of top court are targeting only him. "In July premiership was snatched from me and now presidency of PML-N is being snatched," he said.

Nawaz further said that Black Law Dictionary was used for verdicts against him. "My name is Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, if you want, snatch it too," he stated.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar appeared before the accountability court in corruption references filed by NAB.

During the hearing, Sharif family's assistant lawyer Aisha Hamid objected on supplementary references submitted by NAB.

"NAB can only file new reference if it has found new assets," she argued. She urged the court to increase time up to six more months for supplementary references.

Upon this NAB prosecutor told the court that institute had to submit references and present witnesses with in given time by Supreme Court.

Furthermore, Nawaz, Maryam and Safdar appealed for exemption from hearing. The court granted it to Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz but Captain (r) Safdar will appear before the court again at 1:30pm.
