We quite often hear that people of Pakistan are corrupt and they do nothing without corruption. Since the police is regarded as the most corrupt department, we will just take a look at a policeman's life to understand this phenomenon. A policeman in our society is considered to be a Chaudhry, the uncrowned king of his realm. For his family and the wider clan, he is also the great benefactor who can dole out money and fulfill material needs of everyone. Now from where does he earn that money? He simply enchashes the authority which he has by doing corruption. Is he corrupt by nature? In my view most of the policemen are mentally disturbed due to the intense pressure they work in. Biggest pressure is from their relatives and friends who expect everything from the man who has bagged a job in police. Then there is pressure from the department itself which wants them to work for 24 hours a day without a leave. Who can work for 24 hours? Facing all of the above-mentioned pressures, any man would get mentally disturbed.
