LAHORE – PTI chief Imran Khan in a bid to launch early election campaign, will start marathon tour of Punjab from February 14, while all the party organizations across the province have been directed to complete reception preparations for Imran till February 5.

Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, PTI City chapter president during a press conference on Saturday while unveiling party plans for Punjab said that Imran would made marathon tours of the province from February 14 and all the party organizations across the province have been directed complete arrangements till February 5 for according warm welcome to party chief.

He said that party leadership has made arrangements to accord a warm reception to senior party leader, Makhdom Javed Hashmi on January 29 on his arrival in the provincial capital. Mehmood said that a meeting of party’s central executive committee would be held in the second week of February for constituting central and provincial parliamentary boards of the party. The PTI leader said that the party would award tickets in the first phase focus the areas where it has only a single candidate, while in the second round it would select the constituencies where it has more than one contender.

Meanwhile, PTI (women wing) held a meeting for party supporters from posh area of Defence, which was attended by party leaders Saloni Bokhari, Talth Naqvi, Dr Nousheen, Hamid Miraj and Omar Cheema.

The meeting discussed further mustering support for the party from the affluent localities, besides the current problems facing the country.
