LAHORE – Expressing concern over the deteriorating economic situation of Pakistan, TheNation Editor-in-Chief and Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Majid Nizami has asked the President and Prime Minister to appoint capable ministers for bringing the country out of crises.

He was addressing the participants of “Ideological Training Workshop” at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan on Saturday.

“Inflation, unemployment, gas and electricity loadshedding and water shortages are hitting hard the people of Pakistan. PIA and the Railways are inching towards collapse,” he regretted and urged Asif Ali Zardari and Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani to put their attention towards problems and to get rid of the ministers who had been destroying institutions.

On-training Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) across the province attended the workshop held under the aegis of the NPT and Punjab Government Education Department. NPT Vice-chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmed, Prof Sarfraz Mirza, Shahid Rasheed and Rafaqat Riaz were also present on the occasion.Majid Nizami told the officers that the NPT had hold the flag of ideological training of the youth since years. He said that teachers across the province were also asked to attend the workshops at Aiwan on the Trust’s proposal in this regard to Punjab Chief Minister.

“Now it was your duty to learn as much as you can about Pakistan Movement and then pass the same to the youth,” he urged upon them. Youth must be told about the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal and the sacrifices rendered by millions of Muslims to attain an independent Muslim country in shape of Pakistan, he added.

Majid Nizami informed them about the background history of the NPT and how the former Punjab CM late Ghulam Haider Wyne had established it. He also updated them about the under-construction project of ‘Aiwan-e-Quaid-e-Azam’ at Johar Town (Lahore) which according to him would be prove a milestone for the educational training of the young generation.

Nizami prayed for the development of Pakistan and reiterated his stance that only a united Muslim League could bring out the country from the crises. He condemned India’s conspiracies backed by Israel and America against the country’s stability and held that no one could to bring harm to Pakistan’s sovereignty.

Prof Rafique told the AEOs about the purposes behind organising such workshops at the NPT. He said that the country had been gifted with rich natural resources and it was the need of the hour to trap these gifts of God for the development of the country. He said that youth has the capability to save the future of Pakistan.

A multi-media presentation on Pakistan Movement was arranged for the participants of the workshop besides they also visited the unique pictures gallery at Aiwan.
