LAHORE – A father of four committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan at his residential apartment situated in Wahdat Colony area, police said on Saturday.
The widow told the police that Muhammad Imran, 40, had been facing worst financial constraints for the last several months.
She said that she saw her husband hanging from the ceiling fan with a rope tied to his neck as she came back home on Saturday afternoon. The poor widow had left the house to fetch some vegetables when the man committed suicide.
Resident of Alhamad Colony, Muhammad Imran, was unemployed for the last several months. He had pledged a half portion of his house a few months ago but still the family was facing financial constraints. The man got disillusioned and committed suicide. The police reached the spot, examined the crime scene, and later handed over the dead body to the deceased’s family without autopsy.
Meanwhile, the police have begun investigations to probe into the killing of a 30-year-old man who was found hanging from a tree in Batapur area late on Friday night.
 Police investigators termed the killing as blind murder and said that they are investigating to resolve the mystery. The body of a 30-year-old man was found hanging from a tree near Shaheedan shrine in the precincts of Batapur police area on Friday. Some passersby spotted the dead body and contacted the emergency police (Rescue-15) by phone. The police reached the spot and removed it to the morgue for an autopsy.
According to the investigators, they found a chit from the pocket of the deceased, suggesting his identity as Miftaah Rehman, a resident of Upper Dir. 
Found dead: A 35-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances from Bhatti Gate area, police said on Saturday. Some passersby contacted the police after they witnessed a man, yet to be identified so far, was lying dead alongside the footpath.
