LAHORE – Punjab Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Rana Sanaullah on Monday said that whenever establishment and other circles evolves any conspiracy to damage the growing popularity of Pakistan Muslim League-N and its leadership, the Pakistan Peoples Party plays the role of a spectator.
Talking to media at the premises of Punjab Assembly, Rana Sanaullah said that whenever any drama against PML-N was staged, the Peoples Party clapped to it and when the drama flops, it feels sorry.
He said that Peoples Party’s slogan of setting up of South Punjab province was merely an election stunt which would not be supported by Muslim League at any cost.
He said that there was a role of PPP in the drama staged by ‘Maulana Tahirul Madari’ in Islamabad. He said that after the flop scene of last drama of the ‘Madari’ and the presence of all looters, thieves and ‘Yazeeds’ in the same container, it would not be possible to deceive the people any longer. He said that the elections would be held in the country on time. Law Minister said that when Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood was not Governor of the province, he had said on record that the establishment of South Punjab as province was not the real issue but was the revival of Bahawalpur province.
He said that now Governor Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood had changed his stance. He said that removing deprivations of the people of South Punjab was not possible for Makhdooms and Gilanis but PML-N would do it.
He said that Makhdooms and Gilanis were responsible for the deprivations of the innocent people of South Punjab. He said that Governor Makhdoom was trying to make the people of South Punjab emotional for getting their votes and saving his governorship.
Rana said that the caretaker set-up in Punjab should be formed carefully and meaningless consultation would not be appropriate while the PPP leadership should play its role in this regard. He said that like feudalism and nepotism, exploitation of the followers was also a curse.
He said that the legislation should be carried out against it and such elements should be held accountable. Rana Sanaullah said that ‘Tahirul Madari’ had totally destroyed ‘Kabar Khan’ (Imran Khan).
In response to a question about joining of PPP Peoples Party by Raja Afzal, Law Minister said that Raja Afzal was defeated in bye-elections by 20000 votes and being perturbed over this defeat, he decided to join Peoples Party which was wrong.
