RAWALPINDI  - The district administration on Monday launched a special two-day anti polio drive in selected areas of the city aimed at covering those children who could not be administered polio vaccine in the recently concluded campaign.
The drive has been initiated in ten union councils of Rawalpindi especially where pakhtoons population is in majority, official sources in the District Coordination Officer (DCO) office told the news agency.
“Polio teams are visiting union council number one to ten particularly focusing on Pakhtoon population as some children in selected areas remained unattended during the last round,” they said.
Around 700 police personnel are performing security duty along with polio teams in different localities.
