KARACHI - Elected representatives and office-bearers of Pakistan Peoples Party’s four districts called on Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari separately and briefed him about the developmental progress in their respective areas.These districts include Qambar-Shahdadkot, Badin, Matiari and Tharparker.The PPP leaders informed the PPP chairman about the pace of development schemes and impact of the social sector programmes in each district. They also apprised him about the political situation of each district.Bilawal directed them to keep close contact with the masses and start preparations for the next general elections. He stressed that masses should be apprised about the propaganda of opponents against the party and its government.The chairman said that the PPP had provided development schemes and jobs on merit to every district and so far implemented a large portion of its Election Manifesto despite economic constraints and inherent law and orders situation. “PPP government delivers and fulfills its promises. Free and independent media is a corner stone of democracy,” he further said.Earlier, special prayers were offered for Benazir Bhutto at the start of each meeting. Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Taj Haider, Ayaz Soomro, Lal Bux Bhutto and Shagufta Jumani were also present during each district’s meeting.Those who attended the meeting included Makhdom Ameen Fahim, Makhdoom Jameeluz Zaman, Pir Amjad Ali Shah and others in Matiari District meeting, Mir Amir Ali Khan Magsi, Nazir Ahmed Bughio, Mir Nadir Magsi and others in Kambar-Shahdadkot District meeting. Dr Fehmida Mirza, Ghulam Ali Nizamani, Senator Khatu Mal, Sharjeel Memon, Mahesh Malani, Gul Muhammad Lot, Hasnain Mirza, Bashir Ahmed Khan, Dr Sikandar Ali Mandro, Nawaz Chandio, Engineer Giyan Chand and others were present in the Badin and Tharparker districts meeting.
