LAHORE – Certificates were distributed among the organisers of Punjab University’s first-ever calligraphy conference “Sarir-e-Khama: the Art of Pen” at Old campus on Monday.

PUCAD Principal Dr Rahat Naveed, General Secretary Pakistan Calligraphy Association Irfan Qureshi, faculty members, employees and a large number of students were present on the occasion. Admiring the services of the college principal, Dr Kamran said that the college was being ignored since 40 years but its current leadership had taken it to new heights by taking initiatives and organising creative and healthy activities. He congratulated college administration on successfully organising calligraphy conference. Dr Naveed said that because of special attention of the VC, the college had been able to organise the conference effectively. She said that the college had got a new identity at international arena of art. She also lauded the efforts of the organisers of the conference. Later, certificates were distributed among the organisers. PU VC also inaugurated newly-opened Day Care Centre, Design Studio and Architecture Studio at the college.
