Pakistan ski team shines in Korea



ISLAMABAD - Pakistan ski contingent comprising Noor Muhammad and Shah Hussain of Naltar Ski School clinched two top positions by winning gold and silver medals in ‘Dream Programme 2013’ held in Gangwon Province, the Republic of Korea.
Vice Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Farhat Hussain Khan, who is also the President Ski Federation of Pakistan (SFP), congratulated the athletes who called on him in his office on Monday. Farhat lauded their achievements and hoped that their success would boost the SFP's ventures in national and international ski events. “The achievements show that we have made huge progress since our joining the ‘Dream Training Programme’ in less than two years as we joined it 2011.”
He also acknowledged the contributions and efforts of embassy of Korea in Pakistan, especially Ambassador Choong-joo Choi for extending his full support and cooperation in materialising these ski-training sessions in Korea.
Later, these promising skiers also met with Choong-joo Choi at the Korean embassy where the ambassador appreciated the outstanding performance of these budding players in Dream Programme-2013.
