3 kidnappers killed in shootout

QUETTA- An abductee and three kidnappers were killed while an ASI and a passerby were injured in joint operation by Police, Frontier Corps and Anti Terrorist Force on Sariab Road here on Tuesday.
According to sources, the operation started after police had tracked down Rozi Khan, who was kidnapped some days ago, through his cell-phone.
Talking to media, DIG Operation Jaffar said that a cross-fire took place between the kidnappers and police officials, leaving a cop, an Anti Terrorist Force man and a passerby injured. The Kalat Street area on Sariab Road was cordoned off during the operation.
Capital City Police official Abdul Razzak Cheema while speaking to media said that they were tipped off about five to six kidnappers hiding in the area. As a result, three kidnappers were killed and four others including an ASI and the kidnapped man identified as Mukesh Kumar were injured.” He said that Mukesh Kumar succumbed to his injures in CMH.

He further said, “At this state, we cannot disclose identity of the kidnappers as investigation is still underway.”
