LAHORE - PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Punjab president, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi criticised the rulers for not controlling inflation and demanded the government to convene an all parties conference on price-hike.

They made this demand while talking to media after meeting a civil society delegation from the USA that called on them at their residence on Tuesday.

The PML-Q top leaders claimed it seemed that no government existed in the country, as the rulers lost control in all fields of governance. They said that the rulers should at least stop inflation if they could not stop drones and restore peace in the country. They also demanded the government to call an APC on the growing inflation in an effort to provide the masses relief.

Regarding the APC held on law and order and to counter terrorism, they said that all the political parties had already given the government mandate to deal with the serious crisis.

Prominent party leaders including Mushahid Hussain Syed, Kamil Ali Agha, S M Zafar and Chaudhry Salik Hussain were also present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader, Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed submitted call attention notice in the assembly concerning the murder of party leader, Masood Bhatti in Kasur and Neelam Ashraf’s son in Lahore.

Meanwhile, PML-Q Punjab Assembly members, Amir Sultan Cheema, Asif Nakai and Ahmed Shah Khaga submitted a resolution in the assembly secretariat regarding stoppage of free medicines facility at teaching hospitals.
