ISLAMABAD - Following the directions of Chairman CDA Maroof Afzal, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will formally launch its Margalla Tourist Train Service in current week. In this regard Member Administration CDA Amer Ali Ahmed chaired a meeting and finalised the arrangements for Margalla Tourist Train Service.

He was told that the tourist train will start from Rose and Jasmine Garden and will reach Lok Virsa Museum through Garden Avenue.

The journey by Margalla Tourist Train Service would enable the tourists to catch sight of green Shakerparian area along with National Monument, Lok Virsa and Pakistan Natural History Museum. Margalla Train Service will get going daily at 10:00 am and 3:00 pm from Rose and Jasmine Garden for two hours back journey. Initially the children will be charged Rs10 while the adults Rs30 for the journey on Margalla Tourist Train Service.

 Member Administration CDA Amer Ali Ahmed on the occasion said that the motive behind starting Margalla Tourist Train service is to provide recreational facilities to the residents of Islamabad as well as visitors from other cities.

The Tourist Train will provide an opportunity to the visitors to see best recreational places and cultural heritage of Islamabad through its informative journey. “The tourist train will help in promoting tourism and cultural activities in the Capital,” the member administration said.
