SARGODHA-A couple was crushed to death when a truck hit a motorbike here on Khushab-Sargodha Road near Shahpur.
The rescue sources informed that Muhammad Irfan along with his wife Bakhtawar was on the way to Sargodha from Khushab on a motorbike, bearing registration number KBK-9472. As they reached near Shahpur Saddr, a speeding Mazda truck (FDZ-6158) ran over the motorbike. Resultantly the couple sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot while truck driver fled away. The rescuers and police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead bodies to THQ Hospital Shahpur. The police impounded the truck and registered a case against unidentified truck driver.
Furthermore a labourer, identified as Muhammad Naveed,25, fell down from hilltop and died on the spot. The incident occurred at a hill in 26-South area where the labourer was working at stone-crushing site with a drill machine.
Police handed over the dead body to the heirs after completing medic-legal process.
