SLAMABAD - Special Committee of National Assembly on Kashmir will meet on Tuesday (tomorrow) to finalise arrangements for observing Kashmir Solidarity Day falling on February 5 in a forceful manner.

The day will be observed to highlight the continuing brutalities of the Indian occupation forces against the armless Kashmiris.

The meeting will be held in-camera and will be chaired by Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The meeting will be briefed by secretary Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan on the arrangements made by the ministry to mark the solidarity day. The leaders from various political parties in the Azad Kashmir and the representatives of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (AJK Chapter) will also attend the meeting on special invitation. They will also come up with suggestions and proposals to effectively highlight the cause of Kashmiri people fighting for their right to self-determination.

The committee would also give approval to the draft resolution to be passed on the Kashmir Solidarity Day, and would also devise strategy to project the issue at all international forums in a forceful and effective manner.
