Two student groups clashed at New Campus of Punjab University today. 

According to details, the Baloch Student Group and Islami Jamiat Taluba clashed over a stall established for a festival in Electrical Engineering Department. 

One of the group attacked and destroyed the stall yesterday night. One room was also set on fire, the administration said.

Several students have injured in this clash as police has been called to control the situation. 

While talking to media, Vice Chancellor of the university told media that administration is trying its best to control the situation. 

"The university had given permission for the festival," the VC said. 

The VC further said that a committee has been established which will do investigation and responsible individuals will be arrested. 

"Blame cannot be put on one single student group," he mentioned.
