Ch Parvez Elahi calls for strong ties between Pakistan, Germany, Dr Stephen Schlagheck says his country to supply Pakistan Pfizer's vaccine soon

LAHORE - German Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Bernhard Stephen Schlagheck along with First Secretary Mr Christian Boettcher called on President of Pakistan Muslim League and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Acting Punjab Governor Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at their residence here.

According to party sources, issues relating to bilateral trade, current domestic and global political situation and other issues of mutual interest came under discussion during the meeting. Ch Shujaat Hussain especially thanked the German government for taking care of with the Pakistanis suffering from corona in Germany. 

Acting Punjab Governor Ch Parvez Elahi called for strong ties between Pakistan and Germany saying that German products were very popular in Pakistan. He said that overseas Pakistanis were cooperating for the development of Germany.  

Ch Shujaat Hussain said that Pakistan was a beautiful and peace loving country and that was why the ambassadors of all the countries went to the northern regions themselves to explore Pakistan’s natural beauty. 

German Ambassador Dr Bernhard thanked Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and said that relations between Pakistan and Germany had always been friendly. “Pakistani people are friendly and loving that is why Pakistan is my second home and we take special care of Pakistanis in Germany”, said the German envoy, adding that his country was trying to supply Pakistan Pfizer's vaccine to eradicate corona through WHO, as soon as possible. 

He said that Punjab prospered due to public welfare schemes under Ch Parvez Elahi’s chief minister ship. The World Bank also praised the projects, especially in the areas of education, health and agriculture, he added. On this occasion, the German Ambassador also presented his book to Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
