At which Burewala Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Iqbal Khan ordered re-examination of the victim. On the court orders, a Medical Board, consisting of Medical Superintendent M Ashraf Chaudhry, Gynaecologist Dr Razia Adeel, the District Medical Officer and the Women Medical Officer termed the earlier medical report wrong and confirmed the victim was raped. Following the re-examination medical report, Vehari DPO Ali Nasir Rizvi referred the case to the SP (Investigations) to conduct an inquiry. While talking to this scribe, SP (Investigations) Rana Shujaat denied that no police official was involved in the rape because on the day of incident they had checked the matter officially and confidentially. He claimed that the complainant and her family had a grudge against the police official in question and thats why they staged the drama. Moreover, Women Medical Officer Dr Saadia denied the report of the Medical Board and termed it a conspiracy against the police official. Now, the police have taken Muhammad Hanif into custody for further investigation. The Medical Board has sent all material for DNA test to make the situation crystal clear. Meanwhile, the DPO said that a departmental investigation was underway and vowed a stern action would be taken against anyone found guilty.
