BAJAUR AGENCY - Two persons were killed and five others injured Thursday evening when mortar shells fired from Afghanistan hit a house in tehsil Mamond of Bajaur Agency. Locals said that around nine mortar shells were fired from across the broader at Bandagai area. Some of the missiles hit a house, killing the house owner Kharo Khan and woman Walifa on the spot. Five other family members including children sustained injuries in the incident. It was the latest in a series of deadly cross-border shelling that have raised tensions between Islamabad and Kabul. In a similar attack on July 11, two mortar shells hit a house in Bajaur Agency, killing at least two women and wounding 10 others including six children.
