As many as 40 measles patients have been brought to different hospitals in the province on Sunday including 4 in Lahore. The registered number of measles cases has reached to 22,614 across the province including 5,830 in Lahore. This has worsened the situation in public and private hospitals.
Eidi for Patients:
The Patient Welfare Society will give Eid-gifts to all the patients admitted at the Lahore General Hospital on July 29 to share joys on religious festival.
PGMI Principal Prof Anjam Habib informed this at a meeting of doctors held at LGH on Sunday. New clothes and other gift hampers would be given to the patients. Prof Anjum said that sharing happiness and smiles with the poor and needy on the Eid day is a noble virtue. “We should not ignore ailing humanity while celebrating Eid”, he said, adding special meals would be served to the patients on Eid days. –Staff Reporter
