LAHORE - The Punjab government is formulating farmer-friendly policies to facilitate farmers besides uplifting the agriculture sector.  Agriculture experts expressed these views while talking to APP on Sunday. They said that cotton and sugarcane crops were at a stage when they needed proper care. They advised the growers to look after the crops to avoid any kind of harm.    Experts said farmers should seek guidance from agriculture experts about latest farming technology to boost production.

   Farmers should not use substandard pesticides and fertilizer. Experts said that shortage of zinc could affect paddy growth and growers should use zinc sulphate to overcome zinc shortage, if needed. Farmers should use zinc sulphate according to recommendations of the agriculture department, they added.
