A band of ten armed dacoits set up a picket on Kanganpur-Usmanwala Road near Pul Ghara in village Sham Kot, only two-km away from the Kanganpur Police Station and the Police Check-Post Sham Kot and snatched cash, cellphones and two motorcycles from more than seven persons.

According to details, Muhammad Ramzan, a resident of Sham Kot was coming to Kanganpur on a motorbike along with his friend Sabir. When they reached near Pul Ghara suddenly dacoits threw tree branches on the road and caught them.

They took them near sugarcane crop and deprived them of cash, cellphones and bike while tying him with ropes.

In the meantime Malik Noor Ilahi along with Kali Masih was coming from Kanganpur on a motorcycle. The dacoits threw tree branches on the road due to which both the motorcyclists fell on the road and got serious injuries. Hearing to the alarms raised by the injured, people from nearby village fired gunshots due to which the dacoits fled the scene.

Noor Ilahi was rushed to RHC Kanganpur from where doctor referred him to Lahore General Hospital due to his critical head injuries.

Meanwhile, after getting information, Kanganpur Police SHO Ashraf Nole reached the spot after two hours.

In another incident three armed dacoits entered the house of Mirza Tufail Baig, a resident of Kot Imam Din, took the whole family hostage and made off with cash, cellphones and a motorcycle.
