Governor Rule in Sindh not under consideration: Nisar

Interior Minister, Choudhry Nisar Ali Khan here in Karachi on Monday said that every possible assistance would be extended to the Government of Sindh for the maintenance of law and order in Karachi.
He was talking to media persons on arrival here for a day-long visit to Karachi. The Federal Minister was of the view that the situation in Karachi effects the entire country.
He said that the situation would have to be tackled in the metropolis in an effective and coordinated manner.
Choudhry Nisar said that he would meet the Governor of Sindh, Provincial Chief Minister and the officials of the federal government institutions today.
He stated that for the presidential candidate of the PML-N and the change of Governor in Sindh the PML-N has undertaken consultation and the names in this regard would come to the fore at appropriate time.
Replying to a question regarding governor rule in Sindh, the federal Minister said that “we had not talked of any such thing and that we had only asked the government of Sindh to improve the law and order situation in Karachi”.
Earlier, on arrival at the Karachi airport, the Interior Minister was received by the government officials and the Secretary General of PML-N Sindh, Salim Zia.
