LONDON: Mel Smith has died at the age of 60. The actor and comedian’s agent revealed this morning that he passed away from a heart attack, reports BBC News. Smith apparently died at his home on Friday. A London Ambulance Service rep told the Daily Mirror: “We were called at 9.07 on morning to an address in Grove End Road and sent two respondents but sadly the patient was dead at the scene.” Smith was best known for his work on shows such as Not the Nine O’Clock News and Alas Smith and Jones with long-time comedy partner Griff Rhys Jones.–DS
