LAHORE  -  Some parts of the country received scattered rains on Sunday with experts predicting the prevailing conditions to persist during the next couple of days.

Rain-thundershower occurred at isolated places of Malakand, Zhob, Gujranwala, Lahore and Sargodha divisions. Weather remained hot and humid elsewhere in the country.

Clouds, winds and rains provided some respite from the prevailing harsh weather conditions. However weather again turned muggy after stoppage of rains, causing people to sweat profysely. On Sunday, maximum and minimum temperature in the Lahore was recorded 33 degree Celsius and 22 C respectively. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded 64 per cent.

According to the experts, seasonal low lies over Northwest Balochistan and adjoining areas. Monsoonal current are reaching central parts of the country.

 Local meteorological department has forecast scattered rain-thundershower associated with gusty winds for Kashmir, Upper Khyber PK (Malakand, Hazara divisions), Northeast Punjab (Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions) and at isolated places of Sargodha, Kohat, Bannu, D I Khan, Peshawar divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next couple of days. Hot and Humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country.  On Sunday, Dir 05 mm, Zhob and Bhakkar 02 mm each, Lahore, Barkhan and Sialkot 01 mm each.
