LAHORE - Pakistan Railways (PR) has decided to introduce SMS service to inform the passengers about late departure of trains to save them from inconvenience.  The SMS service would start from Monday (today). Passengers would be asked to provide their mobile phone number while making bookings. In case of delay in departure of the train, these passengers would be informed through the SMS. Meanwhile despite concerted efforts, the authorities have not been able to ensure timely arrival and departure.
